Dr. Edris was born in Taif (1973). He received his Medical Degree (M.D) from King Saud University (1997) and was appointed as a demonstrator at the department of OB-GYN at that Faculty, then the Faculty of Um-AlQura University.
He completed his residency training in OB-GYN at the University of British Colombia (Canada), a Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) at the University of Ottawa (Canada), a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Western Ontario (Canada), and a Fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery at the University of Western Ontario (Canada).
During his residency and fellowships, Dr. Edris received several awards, to name some:
- Dr. C. Rublee Book Award “Award given to residents who display highest level of excellence in OB-GYN knowledge in post graduate years”.
- Dr. Paul Harding Research Award "Wyeth-Ayerst award for excellence in research".
- The Kurt Semm, M.D. Award “Award for Excellence in Pelviscopy".
Dr. Edris published tens of medical papers at peer-reviewed Journals, and several Book Chapters. He presented several papers at International meetings, one of which he received First Price Award- USA (2006). He was appointed the Saudi Doctors’ Representative at the University of Ottawa (20032005-2-124).
Dr. Edris is a Member in several societies, to name some: The Society of Obstetricians & Gynecologists of Canada, The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, The International Society of Cosmetogynecology, and The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Edris is married with 3 children. His hobbies are gymnastics, swimming, and high-board diving.
